I joined The Well House Vets in June 2017 and prior to starting work at the practice I worked for over eight years at the Cats Protection National Cat Adoption Centre at Chelwood Gate. I thoroughly enjoyed working for Cats Protection and being hands on with the Cats in the centre and while the work was varied I particularly enjoyed being involved with cat rehoming.
When I finished school and prior to starting work at Cats Protection, I had a Saturday job at my local vets which I really enjoyed. I then went onto Plumpton College and completed the National Award in Animal Management course which also included work experience at vets practice.
I have always been interested in animals and animal welfare, I used to go horse riding when I was younger and grew up with cats, budgies and gold fish at home. While I am fascinated by animals in general, I am especially fond of cats.
At home I have three cats, Suki who is the oldest and is ginger, Jess who is black and white and Carson who is the youngest. Carson is a grey tabby and he was adopted from Cats Protection when he was a kitten.
In 2016 I took part in a Charity Challenge where I raised money for Cats Protection, I went to Africa for ten days as part of the challenge. I canoed down the Zambezi River for three days then went and also helped at a Lion conservation project for three days.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and I also enjoy Folk Dancing which I have been doing from a very young age. I am also a Church bell ringer and have a passion for music, I play the violin in a folk band and the band at my church.
