We are collecting donations for Mankwe Wildlife Reserve in South Africa!
Our Student Vet Nurse Robyn is calling upon your help as our loyal clients!
Having been to Mankwe a few times she will be returning and hoping to take aid along with her, which would hopefully be kindly donated by yourselves
Donations we are collecting:
- Pet First aid kits
- Tennis balls
- Food and water bowls
- Dog shampoos
- Light weight blankets
- Food/water bowls
- Tug training toys
- Glow in the dark toys/collar
- Or anything else you would like to donate which is light weight and not too big (got to get it in my suitcase)
Who would it be for?
The 3 extremely hard working anti-poaching dogs (see photo above) who train and work around the clock to protect the reserve from poachers. 4 reserve dogs who not only help protect the reserve, but also show incredible companionship to the volunteers and reserve workers. And 2 cats, who else would keep the mice and rats under control?
Why you ask?
It can be very difficult for the helpers out there to get hold of simple items for these animals as they live a few hours’ drive from any shops, and these items can also be expensive. And sometimes they physically don’t have the man numbers/power to send someone off for half of the day when the reserve needs protecting 24/7.
Sometimes they just need a helping hand.
About Mankwe Wildlife Reserve
Mankwe is a wildlife conservation reserve in South Africa. It is home to 50 large mammal species; including the southern white rhino, zebra, giraffe, multiple species of antelope, and over 300 species of birds.
This small, family-run reserve is an amazing team, trying to educate and influence the next generation, in order to protect what is left on this planet. This includes the anti-poaching efforts made to protect the remaining rhinos not only in Africa but all over the globe.
HOW TO DONATE
If you do wish to make a donation then please put it in the box in our reception. Can be old or new, as every little bit will help and be extremely appreciated.
